Recitation Leader, Machine Learning, Spring 2020
Tianyao Chen is a Shanghai-track Computer Science Ph.D. student at NYU, advised by Gus. He received his BEng in Computer Science and Technology from ACM honored class, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has various research background on recommendation system, deep learning and reinforcement learning in undergraduate and controllable music generation and hierarchical music representation learning in his Ph.D. career. He has publications in AI and computer music conferences such as AAAI and ISMIR.
Based on all these background, he started to think about how human beings really do philosophical thinking and perform activities in art and science, and he tried to design algorithms to mimic these behaviors.
