List of Keynote Speakers and Judges
Xia Zhihong (夏志宏) is the of the deputy director of the Institute for Advanced Research at the Great Bay University and Arthur & Gladys Pancoe Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Northwestern University, USA. In mathematics, Professor Xia solved the century-old Painlevé Conjecture. In astronomy, he and Jian Li discovered that a large free-floating planet once flew by the solar system a few hundred million years ago. Recently, he has developed new efficient AI algorithms from mathematical principles. Professor Xia was the founding chair of the Department of Mathematics at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). He is also a founding member of the Future Science Prize and Over the course of his academic career, has received numerous prestigious international awards, including the National Young Investigator Award, the Sloan Research Fellowship, the First Blumenthal Award for Advancement of Pure Mathematics, the Monroe Martin Prize in Applied Mathematics, and was an invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) in 1998.
Qiao Yu (乔宇) is the Assistant Director and Leading Scientist at the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and a professor at the Shanghai Academy of Innovation and Technology. His research areas include general large models, computer vision, and deep learning. He led the development of China’s first widely deployed general-purpose visual model, as well as the open-source multimodal large model, "Shusheng·Wanxiang InternVL," which has leading performance. He has published over 300 papers, which have been cited more than 75,000 times, with an H-index of 114. He holds over 100 invention patents and has received several prestigious awards, including the Wang Xuan Youth Scholar Award, the CVPR 2023 Best Paper Award, the AAAI 2021 Outstanding Paper Award, and the ACL 2024 Outstanding Paper Award.
Dai Juan Lynn (戴娟) is the Vice President of the LLM Division and President of the Education Division at SenseTime. She is also an adjunct associate professor at East China Normal University, and a standing committee member of the Education Working Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. Previously, she was the Senior Product Manager at Apple Inc., where she was the founder of Proactive Siri, head of the Siri Data Science team, and initiator of the company’s Data Science Summit. She also worked at Microsoft in the U.S. as a Senior Product Manager for Windows Phone, where she led the global input system product team and broke the Guinness World Record in 2014 for the fastest touchscreen text input. Her main areas of focus include natural language processing, machine learning, human-computer interaction design, AI education for youth, cognitive psychology, and cognitive intelligence.
Qin Long (秦龙) is a Senior Director at Alibaba Cloud and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. He has over 20 years of experience in artificial intelligence research and development. He was the co-founder and CEO of Singsound Intelligence, where he led the company to serve major players in the internet and education sectors, secure investment from top-tier venture capital firms, and successfully integrate into Alibaba Cloud. Prior to his entrepreneurial venture, Dr. Qin worked at the language learning platform Duolingo, where he was responsible for AI-related technology development. Earlier in his career, he was engaged in AI R&D at companies such as 3M, Microsoft, and iFLYTEK.where he was responsible for AI-related technology development. Xu Changwei Terry (许昌威) is the Director of Data & AI Business Solutions for Microsoft Cloud in China and holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Cambridge. Previously he held roles as Head of Big Data at Midea Group, Chief Data Scientist at Budweiser, and Head of Data Science and Data Product Innovation at Nielsen. Xu Changwei was selected for Shanghai’s Oriental Talent Program in 2023 and the Shanghai Industry Elite High-Level Talent Program in 2022. He is dedicated to empowering business innovation and growth, driving strategic implementation, and enabling refined operations through big data mining, AI foundation models & intelligent agents, and cutting-edge digital technologies.
