Abstract
Quantum computing is an emerging technology that has the potential to significantly enhance our computing power. There are several different technologies that can be used in making quantum computers. The fundamental unit of a quantum computer is a quantum gate. Professor Radhakrishnan will discuss the operations of different quantum gates and introduce the universal set of quantum gates, providing a simple example of a quantum circuit constructed with a quantum gate. Finally, he will give a brief outline of the outlook for quantum computing.
