Abstract
This event is part of the DIC workshop series. Large Language Models have become ubiquitous in the e-commerce industry. In this technical sharing session, Dr. Meng Chen will deliver a comprehensive introduction to the recent advancements in dialogue system research and its industrial applications. He will share his latest research on dialogue pre-training and practical experiences with industrial-grade dialogue systems. Participants will gain insights into the opportunities and challenges encountered by dialogue systems in the development of large language models.
Biography
Meng Chen, a seasoned professional in the field of artificial intelligence, is dedicated to applying cutting-edge AI technology to tackle real-world challenges. As the AI Director of JD.COM, China's largest e-commerce retailer, and a Research Scientist at Nuance Communications, he has significantly contributed to the successful development of several commercial conversational AI products. These products have reached an extensive user base of over 500 million individuals and have been adopted by more than 100 enterprises. Meng Chen's dedication and contributions to the field of AI have been recognized with several awards. In 2023, he was honored with the Wuwenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Progress Award. He also received the Best Demo Award at ACM Multimedia in 2021. His passion and commitment to the field continue to drive his research and development efforts in artificial intelligence.
