At the highly anticipated 2025 X-GAME Shanghai Intelligent New Energy Vehicle Big Data Competition Finals, Team Tian Sheng Yi Dui — composed of NYU Shanghai PhD students Zilu Wang and Ruinan Wang, and research assistants Zhengyu Shi and Zhanyu Feng — earned the First Prize in the New Energy Vehicle Data Analysis Achievement Track, receiving a cash award of 10,000 RMB.
Standing out among nearly 900 participants, the team was recognized for its outstanding collaboration, rigorous data analysis, and innovative research contributions. This marks the second consecutive year that the Lab for Innovative and Sustainable Transportation Systems (LISTS) at NYU Shanghai has received this top honor.
Under the supervision of Prof. Zhibin Chen, Assistant Professor of Engineering, the team developed an innovative project titled “Identifying and Resolving Supply–Demand Imbalance of Community Electric Vehicle Charging Based on User Behavior Information.” Their study explores the causes of charging inefficiencies within communities and proposes data-driven solutions to improve accessibility and user experience.
The team’s findings offer valuable insights for the rational planning and management of community charging infrastructure, contributing to more efficient and sustainable urban transportation systems.
